Praise Him in the Morning, Praise Him in the Noontime!

I know life can be tough! Boy, do I know life can be tough….But one thing that I also know to be true is that I am called daily to Praise my God.  Now Praising God is not a magic formula for success. It is a way of life. It is also more than just a change in attitude, even though an attitude adjustment might be needed! It is remembering like the song says  “You are God alone, in the good times and bad, You are God alone, You are on your throne…” His Character never changes….He is omnipotent and remains in control no matter what is going on around us or in us. His love is unfailing, even when we fail, life fails us or the day is just one big flop!

We Praise God, not for what we expect will happen in or around us, BUT we praise Him for Who He is and where we are right now! Praising involves both gratitude and joy that God is keeping His word to work good things through EVERYTHING if we love and trust Him (Romans 8:28) But, you say….You don’t understand my circumstances! No, I don’t, but I know mine and this I know to be true… that there is power in praise, comfort comes with praise, healing comes with praise. It is said in the psalms that he inhabits in the praises of His people.

So today as I woke up to “Surprise!”…a sick little girl, lots of work to do and a class to teach….I am going to choose to praise Him, thank Him and trust the day to Him. For I know that God has a perfect plan for my life, even when life’s challenges greet us first thing on a busy day. For I know that I can’t move forward to the next step until I praise Him, trusting that what happens next is God’s move not mine.
