Forgive to live!

Forgive
Pray for those who hurt you
That is what He says
That is what He did

I’m not even sure I can utter their name much less pray for them
They hurt me
They walked away
They replaced me
They lied about me
All this from someone who said they loved me

Now I am suppose to pray
My heels dig in
My heart feels hard
Lord, what about me?
I am in pain
Will there ever be anyone for me again?
Who will love me?

There is a hole
Where pain still resides
But I have to let go
I must let go
I have to try
Pray

I pray for me
I pray for strength
I pray for forgiveness
I pray for healing
I pray for hope to live on inside
Please Lord don’t let me die

I know you can melt away my anger and pride
Restore me O Lord
I will try

Lord, bless them today
Watch over them and keep them
In Jesus healing name
