Last night we sent to my sister’s Christmas “Dance” Party….and as I woke up this morning I had a few thoughts…..
1. GREAT PARTY!
2. After many wardrobe changes and fretting about what to wear, did it really matter? Except that when I took off my boots after dancing all night my feet had formed to the shoe! Ouch! And I had to giggle as I heard other women come in with their frets about the way they were dressed and “Was I suppose to bring something?” We are a weird lot, us women. We need to use the term “Let it GO!” better. Men don’t waste energy on this, why should we?
3. We are a family that loves to dance! All ages of the Frailey/George blood is running through the veins you like to cut the rug! ( it showed last night!) And if you have boys, dance with them a lot as they are growing up so they feel comfortable with it, it separates the boys from the men later in life! Every girl loves a man that can dance! ( or at least one that is willing to be drug out on the dance floor by a girl)
4. I missed Morgan, her giggle and the joy she brings wherever she goes. So did others. Is she sick? I hope that she is not real sick.
5.Who was that DJ, he was great with names and tough love, we might need him to do another home visit in the future.
6. Was that really a number 2 I saw on the clock as I was crawling into bed?
7. 5:50 am …..I am not in my 20’s. Why is it that if I go to bed at 2 am I still wake up at 5:30????? Doesn’t my body know that I was a rock star last night? Wait, why am I so stiff and feel my knee joints ache? Could it be from the “how low can you go???”
8. Loved that Jackson crawled into bed with me on this COLD morning, the snuggle was just enough to keep me in bed and allow me to fall back asleep…..2 more hours of blessed sleep! Thank you Lord for even wanna be dancing queens still get snuggle bunnies crawling in!
9. As the fog lifted and my eyes open, I thought the Frailey Sisters should NEVER have back to back parties planned…….Tonight we have some of our favorites to our home to eat Chili and Carol through the hood….It will not be a late night tonight, for this much I know for sure…I am not a Rock Star, but a 46 year old woman who likes to have fun with people she loves and is already hears her bed calling!
10. Well we are off…lalalalalala!
