This morning in my quiet time I read a quote by Erwin MaManus,
“Our fears establish the limits of our life.”
Wow isn’t that the truth! I see it everyday with the people I work with and within my own life.
If you fear heights, you stay low.
If you fear love, you don’t play with others well.
If you fear failure, you simply don’t try.
If you fear change, you will always be where you are.
We stay limited not because we have a fear problem, but because we have a faith problem. I have had many people comment on my Facebook Dating Challenge and how daring it is of me. Well, to tell you the truth it is very scary, vulnerable, and way out of my comfort zone! Will people think I am crazy? Desperate? Absolutely mad? But over the years I have come to appreciate that you never know the blessings that are waiting outside the limiting comfort zones of our lives, unless we STEP OUT in FAITH. It might be a wobbly baby step at first, but with each messy little step you will be surprised by the wonder, joy and blessings you stumble upon, and stumbling I do.
Oh, we of little faith, we need to quit limiting our lives, and step out to see what is waiting for you and for me!
Hi Merrill. My good friend, Stacey C., contacted me 6 weeks ago about possibly meeting you, and I was hesitant. I had not read this blog post, but it did speak to me, as I struggle with stepping out in faith as well. Certainly, it would do me good to meet someone who isn’t atraid to try. Hope to hear from you.
