SWEETLY BROKEN
Six Week Study

It’s hard to imagine that brokenness could be called sweet. The word alone brings to mind pain, suffering, being torn apart, maybe even shattered to pieces. How then can this word be paired up with sweetly? Well, there is this powerful emotion when we sit at the feet of Jesus that sweeps over us when we accept our brokenness. And over time we can start to see how God restores, heals and then uses our very brokenness for His glory. It is then that we are able to hear the words together, Sweetly Broken and grasp what it really means. They do go together!

As we go through the journey of life we have emotions that arise, some may be recent, other’s created in the past. They are emotions that we just don’t know what to do with, so we stuff, hide and keep cramming them into our hearts. Feelings of pain, anger, fear, loneliness, anxiety, doubt, regret, unforgiveness, maybe even feelings of being unloved or unworthy. It’s time to clean out the closets of our life and get rid of the “stuff” that is weighing us down. We will always have tough emotions to deal with but holding on to them will only keep us from the joyful free life God has in store for each one of us!
