Mountain Air……Morning Chats

Some days we just have to quiet ourselves… our spirits, hearts and minds…. our world, to really hear what God wants to speak into our life.. He comes in a whisper and that can be hard to hear in our busy loud lives! May you find some quiet and hear what he has to say to you!

I am in North Carolina getting ready for a Girls Retreat. We have 30 women coming and I am so excited to see what God has in store for them and me! If you read my Moses Moments you know that I was a bit apprehensive about what I was to speak on. And even as I was heading up here I still have not quite wrapped my mind around what God wanted me to say. Oh I knew the theme and topics but needed to have the format, you know God’s powerful fingerprints on it.

Well, I got to the mountains safely, unloaded and nested in. Went to sleep for the night, boy was it a wonderful sleep. The bed in our mountain house is the best bed I have ever slept in. If there are beds in heaven they will be just like this…BIG, great sheets, smooshie pillows….sweet dreams! Okay, enough rambling…. my Dad, Uncle and Aunt like nice things and I get the benefit of this one. Thanks guys!!

Let me get to the point. When I woke up in that “bed of my dream”, there he was.

God, in this wonderful quiet moment spoke. There were no distractions, no noise… just us. He is so faithful to meet me, I just laid in bed and smiled…..all ears and heart open.  I was rested and settled and was ready to hear his words, direction and love. What a great chat with the one who knows me the most, loves me unconditionally and wants to spend time with me too!

Sometimes the best things come in quiet moments.
