Hey you, get off of my cloud!

Jackson really struggles with a little boy at school. As he puts it,  he is a bit weird, loud, and messy. Don’t we all have people in our lives like this. You know the ones that we can’t get away from because they are for now part of the journey, or if you are really lucky part of your family. Well, as Jackson was going on about how this person really annoys him I gently reminded him that God put’s people like this in our life at times to help us grow. In fact if you read some scriptures he even goes as far to say HE IS those few that are the hungry, thirsty, poor and possibly the annoying.

“What do you mean he is Jesus, no he is not. He is so annoying, smells and hits people.”
I said, “Jackson you don’t have to like him, but you do need to be kind to him, because someday God might make you share your cloud in heaven with him.”
“What!  I want you and my family on my cloud. Where will you all be?”, he replied.
“We will be sharing our clouds with those that rub us the wrong way too.” I giggled. “And mine is looking pretty full as I am traveling the menopausal mile!”
Confused Jackson  said, “What mile are you on?”
“Never mind sweetheart, don’t worry I will always have room for you, under my roof or on my cloud! We just need to keep our hearts open to those that need a little grace in their life because we might be the only Jesus they meet.”
“But mom I thought you said he was Jesus?”
UGH, smart kid…”Well, we were ALL created in His image Jackson. Just be kind, love big and when you want to say something ugly, keep your distance and mouth shut!”….Motherhood!

A few that will always have space on my cloud and in my heart!

Whether we really have to share a cloud with these sandpaper people or not, we are called to love them…even if we struggle just to like them. In fact I don’t think we have to or will like everyone, but we are to reflect the way God sees them so that they can see themselves for who they were created to be…

WONDERFULLY MADE , yes one an ALL!
